Multi-award-winning, southern blues-rock royalty, The Kentucky Headhunters today release the title track from their brand-new album of the same name. Following in the wake of the album’s strong first single, ‘How Could I’, ‘That’s a Fact Jack’ is released today 8th October, with its 12-track parent album being released on Friday 22nd October 2021.

Opening with a steady, powerful beat and hook, ‘That’s a Fact Jack’ leads into passion-filled raw rock vocals without restraint and builds up not just a wall but an overwhelming tsunami of Kentucky Headhunters’ sound, including some finely honed, razor-edged lead guitar solos.

The Kentucky Headhunters’ line-up fields: Richard Young (rhythm guitar, lead and harmony vocals), Fred Young (drums, Lead & Harmony vocals), Greg Martin (Lead and Slide Guitar,Acoustic Guitar,Lead and Harmony vocals) and Doug Phelps (Bass,Lead and Harmony Vocals).

“This old world of ours has had many a crazy time since its beginning,” says Richard Young, “Some way or another, our people — regardless of race, color or creed — have pulled together to overcome everything that gets thrown at us.

“Every once in a while, we see movies, hear music and find readings that awaken us to move.

“’That’s a Fact Jack’ is merely just a little rock ditty to remind us of where we came from, where we’ve been and give us a reminder of where we need to be…TOGETHER.”

The 12-track parent album of the same name includes eleven all-new songs, each penned by The Kentucky Headhunters, plus one cover tune: Rick Derringer’s ‘Cheap Tequila’.

‘That’s a Fact Jack!’ is unique in that after 14 album releases for The Kentucky Headhunters, in their decades-long career, it’s the first album to ever be released, as a standalone release, from their own label: Practice House Records, and distributed through BFD.

The Heads are no tyros: their longevity and success span multiple decades, genres and continents. The band has been lauded for creating a unique, and evolving, blend of honky-tonk, blues, and southern rock that appeals to both the toughest music critics and listeners of all kinds.

They’ve won a GRAMMY Award, a CMA Album of the Year Award, two CMA Vocal Group of the Year Awards, had two Top 10-charting albums and four consecutive Top 40 hits.

“Beyond all the fun of just getting in there and playing,” reflects Richard, this album is a statement for our society in these times, and an offering of what we think people need right now. You know, in Europe, we’re played on Planet Rock and classic rock stations. They don’t even think about what we might be labeled here: they take us on the music.

“There’s a lot for all of us to take from that: Don’t worry about the labels, man. How’s it make you feel? If you ask me, this is modern society Southern rock & roll. It’s for the times and the people. It’s all the influences and all the things we love: all the things with no borders or worrying about what doesn’t fit.”
