Dutch psych-rock renegades DeWolff have announced their first ever UK headline tour. They will begin in Newcastle at The Cluny on 13 March and will call through Edinburgh (The Voodoo Rooms), Aberdeen (The Tunnels), Glasgow (Hug & Pint), Manchester (Night & Day), Bristol (The Louisiana), Oxford (The Bullingdon), Nottingham (Bodega), Hastings (Black Box) and it finishes on 23 March at Omera, London. Tickets are available HERE.

The announcement follows their storming October UK tour with Jared James Nichols and the release of their latest studio album, ‘Love, Death & In Between’ in February. Talking about coming back to the UK in March the band say. “We just finished our first UK tour, and we had such a good time that we decided to come back in March 2024! We’re so looking forward to partying with y’all, playing full length sets, making new friends and hearing DeWolff roar again!” They will also play Planet Rock’s Planet Rockstock on Saturday, 2nd December.

On 1st June, DeWolff produced the world’s fastest Studio-to-store record. The band started recording at 1 pm in the Artone Studio at Record Industry, and precisely 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 38 seconds later, the first 12-inch vinyl single, “Rosita Rápida”, was sold at Sounds in Haarlem, the Netherlands, beating the record previously held by Jack White. You can watch the short documentary HERE and watch the video for “Rosita”.

‘Love, Death & In Between,’ released on Mascot Records, became it their first ever #1 record in their native Netherlands. The album spawned the singles “Heart Stopping Kinda Show,” “Will o’ The Wisp”, and “Night Train.” .

Over the last 18 months they have careered across Europe on headline tours as well as shows with TOTO, The Black Crowes and Jared James Nichols. They took a brief pause to celebrate a nomination for an Edison Award (The Dutch Grammy’s) for their album ‘Double Cream’ with The Dawn Brothers, along with a ton of heavy-duty touring, including performances at Paaspop, Roadburn, Pinkpop, North Sea Jazz Festival, Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea III Mediterranean cruise and released the live album ‘Live & Outta Sight 3’. On top of that they also received the ‘Gouden Notekraker’ this year, the prize that -after nomination and election by colleagues- is awarded to the artist/band with the most special and influential live performances of the past season – Watch the performance HERE. Also. Watch them in a blistering performance at Pinkpop Festival this year, HERE.

Recording live to tape, with no overdubs, brothers Pablo (guitar/vocals) and Luka van de Poel (drums/vocals) alongside Robin Piso (Hammond/Wurlitzer) were joined by a host of friends for ‘Love, Death & In Between’. The themes on the album were partly inspired by novels from 20th-century American authors, particularly John Steinbeck’s ‘Tortilla Flat. “There is a quote from him, ‘The good story lay in half-told things which must be filled in out of the hearer’s own experience,’ and that was something I really wanted to do with lyrics on this record.” At the same time, the band were deep diving into old soul and R&B records – Sam Cooke, The Impressions, The Coasters, The Clovers, Ray Charles and Little Richard, as well as a heavy dose of gospel – The Soul Stirrers, Al Green and early records by The Staple Singers.
