This year EVERGREY have unveiled a new album, several new singles, a new guitarist and a European tour . . .

In June this year, Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey released their 15th studio album, Architects of a New Weave on the Napalm Records label. Earlier to this they also released several tracks, as singles, from that new album including the title track in March, then The World is on Fire in April, along with new guitarist Stephen Platt (ex-Scar Symmetry). In May there was yet another single, Leaving the Emptiness, and in June, to coincide with the album release, a fourth single, A Burning Flame.

To top all of this the band have also announced a number of tour dates. The Australasian stage of the tour has already started but the band head to Europe next month and kick off in Lund on November 11.

A large portion of the European tour has been given over to UK dates and the band descend on The Brook, Southampton on November 25. The UK dates last until December 5 and Saltbox, Nottingham before they return to the European mainland to complete the tour.

All of the UK dates have Ukrainian modern metal band Ignea as support and they themselves released a new single, Dreams of Lands Unseen, just a few days ago; this taken from their forthcoming new album.

Ukrainian modern metal band IGNEA have just released Dreams of Lands Unseen, the first single from their upcoming album, Monumental, out 23rd October via Napalm Records. The track shares a name with the four-piece’s 2023 album but is a step towards something new. Dreams of Lands Unseen explores the race to space during the Cold War and a time when war-ridden humanity projected its greatest hopes into the cosmos far beyond our known worlds. Bursting with energy right from the start, ‘Dreams of Lands Unseen’ combines a punchy, driving riff with fierce growls.
