Brutal Texas Death Metal
STABBING – RAVENOUS PSYCHOTIC ONSLAUGHT
LABEL: COMATOSE MUSIC
RELEASE DATE: DECEMBER 10th 2021
“I like knives. They’re more personal. With a knife you have to put it into somebody and feel him die and get his blood on you.” – Lemmy
The world around you is lost in a haze of desperate anger and bloodlust. There is only the will to survive and the need to kill. Nothing outside the circle is real. All that exists is the parting of skin and the explosion of blood, a hot rain across your face. The momentary resistance as the blade glances from bone, the thud as the hilt hits flesh. And then it is all gone in a frenzy as you thrust the blade again and again and again…long past the point when the light in his eyes has faded. Again and again until you can no longer lift the knife and the gore that drenches you is cooling. The clouds part and reality returns. It’s over. Until it happens again…and again…and again…
The music of Stabbing is not something you can appreciate from a distance. This is Texan death metal that strides from the speakers and confronts you, gets right up in your face and demands your attention. The band’s first EP could not have been more aptly named – Ravenous Psychotic Onslaught is exactly that; from the initial crazed attack of ‘Splatter Pit’ to the decelerating, sickening grind of ‘Gutted By The Beast’. The grooves in these songs are colossal, the weight of the riffs bone breaking and the vocals of Bridget Lynch some of the most awesomely guttural you will ever hear. As a band Stabbing may only have formed this year, but the members of this coterie of violence have earned their scars in brutal units like Scattered Remains, Flesh Hoarder, Nephilim Grinder many more – these beasts are already knee deep in blood! All that experience is readily apparent on Ravenous Psychotic Onslaught which is a consummate display of barbarous intensity to rival the most renowned names in the field. This is just the beginning for Stabbing, but what a first kill it is!
Recognising the band’s huge potential Comatose Music were quick to swoop in and take Stabbing under their rotten wing. This alliance will see Ravenous Psychotic Onslaught reaching every shadowed corner and alleyway around the world when its rage is unleashed on December 10th. There will be no place to hide…give yourself up to the knife.
