CATS in SPACE are delighted to announce that their August / September tour dates [below] are now confirmed and will be available to purchase online. The band commented that “after an enforced layoff we cannot wait to get our claws into these new dates and catch up with all of the fans. There will be a real sense of celebration about this tour!”
The band are also pleased to confirm that the release of their single ‘Mr.Heartache’ is now confirmed for Friday August 6th 2021. The song that started the whole story in 2015, has been remixed and revamped with Cats’ frontman Damien Edward’s vocals adding a brand new spin to this much loved classic track. ‘Mr. Heartache’ is available as a clear 7” vinyl featuring the exclusive B-Side ‘Twilight’ and in the fine tradition of never doing anything by halves, the vinyl will be available in not one but three different picture sleeves which are currently available to preorder on the CiS WebStore, the track will also be available to download from all of the usual digital platforms.
This epic single is the first track to be taken from the band’s brand new compilation album ‘Diamonds’ which will be released this autumn as an 11 track clear vinyl LP and 14 track CD featuring the cream of the Cats’ catalogue, along with Mr. Heartache, each of these songs have been remixed and re-vocaled by Damien. Amongst the grooves is an exclusive ‘live’ recording of the band’s anthem ‘Greatest Story Never Told’, which was the centrepiece of the band’s live stream concert recorded last year at KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. The CD contains a further three bonus tracks all taken from last year’s smash hit album ‘Atlantis’.
“Whilst we know only too well that ‘tinkering’ with songs loved by the fans can be seen as risky, we feel that it’s a fantastic way to move the band forward, especially as we look towards working in Europe. Promoting all of our back catalogue on an official release with the new line-up, establishes the fact that, post lockdown, the Cats are looking to a new future and planning into 2022 and beyond”.
